Air travel booking and the entire local program separately (9 days, with food and accommodation, safaris and cultural part and visits).

TANZANIA: the choice couldn't be better. Not only for the very varied national parks in type of relief, vegetation, landscape and wildlife, but also for the security, the cultural/visit part and the extremely friendly and welcoming population.

FLIGHTS: by KLM (Porto to Amsterdam + Amsterdam to Kilimajaro). Option to have only 1 stopover and only 2 hours between flights.

MAY: (it was by pure luck) end of the rainy season which allowed not to have much dust (as usual), less aggressive prices and no queues for jeeps and tourists. The temperature is “low” (for the locals) which for us is just a summer without too much heat.

With the savanna still in shades of green, the large herds of wildebeest and zebra remained in the Serengeti region, which is a unique spectacle.

The choice fell on HEKIMA SAFARIS, a company that operates mainly in Tanzania but also in Kenya and Uganda. Chosen for having good comments/evaluations and a lot because they agreed to develop a program for X days according to my tastes and taking into account what I was looking for.

The base program was changed/personalized, an extra night was added, the accommodations were changed and in the cultural and visiting part, some experiences were added and others were removed.
