The Why of this page
When deciding to go on a safari with the intention of photographing (landscape, wildlife, portrait) what came to me the most was a huge LACK OF INFORMATION.
Lack of information or even worse, confusing and contradictory information.

I was hardly able to clarify the doubts, from the most obvious to the specific ones. Where to go (or where not to go), with whom, what to take, were growing doubts. The tour package offers I found left me even less sure which ones would be the most appropriate for me and why there are so many differences in prices and opinions.
It was impossible to know who else might be interested in going, who would like to join, who else would walk through those destinations with the same goals.

For all this, and to launch some ideas for the future, I decided to leave some notes about safaris in order to photograph (and not only), leave information that can help those who intend to embark on these adventures, and also prepare the next trips and try to gather those who intend to travel with the same interest.

Here is also the challenge for new trips, if possible with the company of people who share the same interests and I look forward to your ideas, opinions and projects, for sharing information and teachings!
About me
I have always loved traveling and recording the sensations experienced on those trips, the smells and the teachings, but I always opted for a written record, or simply in memories.
It was after the age of 40 that he became interested in photography, first of the landscape and later also of the wildlife that I found in my region, Serra da Estrela, and in neighboring regions such as the Dão river valley or Serra da Lousã.

Interest in looking for new challenges quickly arose and, speaking of wildlife, interest in the large animals of the African savannas was obvious. That's how I started looking for information, directions, ways to travel and looking for opinions and partners with the same travel interests.

I AM NOT A TRAVEL AGENCY. It was the difficulty in finding information, and above all in finding people who, like me, wanted to discover this world of (photographic) safaris that led me to create this page and launch some ideas/projects for new adventures.
